Day of Respect for Cultural Diversity Description
Formerly known as Columbus Day, this holiday now celebrates the cultural diversity and heritage of Argentina's indigenous peoples and immigrant communities. Schools and cultural centers organize events highlighting the traditions, languages, and histories of the country's native communities, including the Mapuche, Quechua, Guaraní, and others.
