Easter Monday Description
Easter Monday (Toinen pääsiäispäivä) is the second day of Easter and a public holiday in Finland. Government offices, banks, and most businesses close across the country. The day is more relaxed than Easter Sunday — families often gather for outdoor activities if the spring weather permits or enjoy excursions to the countryside as the first signs of spring emerge in southern Finland. Traditional Easter foods continue to feature in family meals. In Lapland and northern Finland, it remains a prime late-season skiing period, with many families returning from ski holiday cabins to conclude the Easter vacation.
