Hari Raya Aidilfitri (Day 2) Description
The second day of Hari Raya Aidilfitri continues the celebration with more family visits and open house gatherings. While the religious obligation of the morning prayers is unique to the first day, the festive atmosphere persists with continued feasting on traditional dishes and kuih. Extended family members who traveled from distant cities for the holiday spend quality time together before beginning the return journey. Government offices, banks, and most businesses remain closed. Rural villages (kampung) remain particularly vibrant with communal celebrations, while city-dwellers who returned to their hometowns for the holiday enjoy a final full day of relaxation and reunion before the journey back to urban centers.
