Victoria Day Description
Celebrates Queen Victoria's birthday and the current monarch's official birthday, observed on the Monday preceding May 25th. Colloquially called 'May Two-Four' weekend — referencing both the date and a case of 24 beers — it marks the unofficial start of summer across Canada. Fireworks displays light up the evening skies, gardens are planted, and cottages are opened for the season. Campgrounds and provincial parks fill with families launching the camping season.
