Good Friday Description
Good Friday commemorates the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ. Solemn street processions known as "procesiones" take place across Spain, with the most famous in Seville, Málaga, and Valladolid. Participants wear traditional robes and carry elaborate religious floats depicting the Passion. Most businesses, banks, and government offices close. Many communities also observe dietary restrictions, with meatless meals served at family gatherings throughout the day.
