What do you want to calculate?

Holiday data currently covers 2025–2027. Dates outside 2025–2027 are calculated using weekends only.

How to use this calculator

  1. Pick the country whose public holidays should be excluded.
  2. Choose whether to count working days between two dates, or add working days to a start date.
  3. Read the result — the working-day total and the exact holidays that were excluded.

What counts as a working day?

A working day is any weekday (Monday to Friday) that is not a public holiday. This calculator excludes Saturdays, Sundays, and the official public holidays of the country you select, so the total reflects real business days rather than just non-weekend days.

Working days vs business days

In most countries the terms are used interchangeably: Monday to Friday minus public holidays. Some industries treat Saturday as a partial business day, but for payroll, shipping, and legal deadlines the Monday-to-Friday-minus-holidays definition used here is the standard.

Frequently asked questions

Does this calculator exclude public holidays?

Yes. Unlike most working-day calculators that only skip weekends, this tool also removes the official public holidays of the country you select, and lists exactly which holidays were excluded.

Are the start and end dates included in the count?

Yes. When counting working days between two dates, both the start and end dates are included if they are working days.

How many working days are there in 2026?

It depends on the country, because public holidays differ. Select your country and set the range from January 1 to December 31 to see the exact number of working days in 2026.
